Putting it Together & Development Strategies
Putting it Together- from design track- I chose Exercise 1:
Create a Web page for a fictitious company called "Advanced Circuit Technologies". Use the "ball" image incorporated into some type of a logo or theme for the high technology company that deals with computer componants. Make sure to optimize the images for the web and create an interesting and intriguing interface.
Development Strategies- from development track- I chose Exercise 1:
Concepts of efficacy, functionality and efficiency are important factors to consider when developing a website. Considerations of image optimization are additionally important to the overall site development. The development strategies exercise involves creating a one-page site with optimized code and imagery. A technology company approaches you and asks that you develop a one-page site for them using the images that they have given you. The images are in TIF format and are high resolution. You consider using one of the images for a background and incorporate the other images into tables within the site. Your task is to create the one page site having optimized the images for format and resolution.
Since both of my choices involved the same source images, I have combined these exercises into a single exercise, considering the task from both perspectives. While I would ordinarily use CSS for formating, I did use tables as instructed. Click on the image below to view the page.
