Statement
The inscription handwritten along the bottom reads: "The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measure of meal, till the whole was leavened. ~Jesus Christ".
I actually made the bread involved; it's a round braided Challah (sort of). I drew the pencil study from life and the aid of a few reference shots with a polaroid camera (for my drawing hand).
